that sub is absolutely overflowing with posts about how they need to stand together as a community and not sell until the damage done to these hedge funds is as brutal as possible. they are very loud and very clear that anyone selling out now for the sake of making a profit is selfish and in opposition to their goal. they make an exception for those who post about selling for reasons such as affording medical care, gathering en masse to congratulate the OP and wish them the best of luck. and to emphasize how cruel the system is for putting people in a position where they have to pay tens of thousands of dollars for life-saving treatment while the rich sit on disgusting amounts of unearned wealth
and now the media is making it out like those fat cats are the victims, and the everyday people—whose only crime is that they were smart enough to understand how the market works—are the villains?

I just scrolled through thousands of posts and comments in that community about how this is not about making money—it’s about making the system PAY. it’s about destroying some of these fuckers who have profited from the pain and suffering of others for far too long. it’s about trying to overthrow the entire goddamn way that this country handles wealth. and it’s being done by people who are sick of seeing institutions profit while individuals suffer
look I don’t like Reddit either, it has some really shitty users. but I’m not trying to say anything about that right now.
